Grape Agate is actually not an agate at all! It is a botryoidal purple chalcedony that gets its name from its appearance. Its discovery in Indonesia is more recent, and so far is the only locality known to have these beautiful stones. Purple is the most common, however, there is occasionally a vein of green and blue grapes found.
